Broadcast Crew:
Lynn Burkhead, Play By Play
Lynn is a 1984 DHS graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Address from UNT. He is married to a retired DISD teacher with 20 plus years of service in the district and is the father of three student/athlete graduates from DHS. When not in the broadcast booth, he is a nationally recognized outdoors writer. Having broadcast nearly 440 games, Lynn is entering his 38th season of football radio broadcasting. This year also marks Lynn’s 31st year overall with Denison and his 28th year with KMKT, accomplishments that led to the DISD renaming the Munson Stadium home radio booth after him in 2019.
Lance San Millan, Color Commentator
Employed by the DISD as an Alternative High School Principal at Pathways High School, Lance played football and baseball in college at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Married to a DISD educator, Lance is a father of three children. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Ed along with a Masters in Educational Administration from SOSU.
Pete Dionne, Statistician
Pete is employed by the Denison ISD as a teacher at Pathways High School. After growing up in the land of the ice and snow (Michigan, Indiana), Pete received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University (Boiler Up!), where he was a member of the Purdue All-American Marching Band, a DJ at his dorm radio station, and handed the great Gene Keady a salad plate in the training table cafeteria for 4 years. He received his Master’s in Educational Administration from SOSU in May of 2026 (Go Savage Storm!). Pete has 4 adult children and 1 grandson, who is now in high school. He is married to his best friend and not just because she happens to hail from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pete is entering his 5th season as a member of the radio crew and looks forward to seeing how quickly his microphone gets turned off in the booth. “Peter D” is prone to wander off on non-football tangents, but he will work hard at getting semi-accurate information when called upon to give football statistics.
Josh Kelly, On-Field Reporter
Josh Kelly is a proud 2000 graduate of Denison High School. His career in education began at Denison High School in 2010, where he served as a special education teacher and spent five years as a freshman coach under Chad Rogers. Josh later spent five years away from Denison while serving as principal of Gainesville Junior High in Gainesville, Texas. This year, he returned home to Denison and currently serves as the principal of Terrell Elementary. Josh earned his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of North Texas and his Master of Education from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Josh has been married to the love of his life for 13 years and is proud to once again be part of the Yellow Jacket tradition, this time from the sidelines!
